Wykes Engineering is a leading UK supplier of process plant and equipment for the waste food and animal by product inductries.

Due to ever increasing business we are looking for an experienced professional project manager to join our existing project management team. The workload is varied and covers major refurbishment, capital repair and new build.  You will be project managing a variety of turnkey projects from conept to completion.  Typical aspects of this project manager role will include face-to-face understanding of customer requirements, agreeing commercial terms, project planning and resourcing, to include H & S requirements, CDM if applicable, cost control, through to site installation, commissioning and closing the project

Ideally you'll be a graduate qualified engineer with experience gained in management of CDM run sites.  You will possess the relevant demonstrable skills, energy and drive to meet stringent deadlines.

This position will require some travel mainly in the UK with possible overnight stay weekdays.

CAD Design Engineer

This is a hands on design office role using AutoCAD and Inventor 3D package, which is an essential requirement. You'll need an in-depth knowledge of heavy fabrication and welding processes, mechanical handling equipment for process plant such as screw conveyors, pressure vessels, pipework and plant layouts. Experience of design calculations, P&ID & Process Flow schemes is not essential but would be advantageous too.

All applicants should have at least an HNC in Mechanical Engineering.

General Machinist

Permanent days position for a fully skilled machinist large and small manual centre lathes, radial and vertical drill operator to work in busy machine workshop.

Heavy Mechanical Fitter

This permanent position is to work mainly in a manufacturing workshop and occasionally on client sites for breakdown repairs. Experienced in fitting large shafts, bearings and overhauling large gearbox assemblies.

Data Input Clerk / Engineering Assistant

We are currently seeking a meticulous data input clerk to receive, collate, organise and process data for a busy processing facility. The position will include daily routine and weekly recording of materials, liaison with customers/suppliers and filing. Additional duties will include material costing, pricing, data input and some purchasing requirements.

The successful candidate will be highly responsive to work requests, have experience in handling complex paperwork and have administrative and data inputting experience. You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
